A BILL to amend article seven, chapter twenty of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section one-e, relating to increasing the annual salaries of conservation officers by one thousand dollars.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article seven, chapter twenty of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section one- e, to read as follows:

ARTICLE 7. LAW ENFORCEMENT, MOTORBOATING, LITTER.

§20-7-1e. Conservation officers, salary increase, exceptions.

(a) Notwithstanding any provision of this code to the contrary, each conservation officer shall receive an increase in the minimal annual salary provided for in section one-c of this article in the amount of one thousand dollars beginning the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred ninety-five.
(b) This section shall not apply to special or emergency conservation officers appointed under the authority of section one of this article.
(c) Nothing in this section shall prohibit other pay increases as provided for under section two, article five, chapter five of this code.



NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to provide an increase in salaries for conservation officers in the amount of $1000.00 beginning July 1, 1995.
